TouchDesignerVisual Experiment
Camera-input Interactive Prototype
PROJECT OVERVIEW
A TouchDesigner prototype transforming a camera subject and movement into contours and color fields in real time.
Validated a responsive visual prototype connecting camera input with real-time image processing.
LEE JOON-SUH / CONTRIBUTION
Designed and tested a real-time response structure transforming camera input through edge extraction and color fields.
Connected camera input as a live visual source
Separated body and hand contours through edge extraction
Composited color fields and contours into three output variations
Repeatedly tested the relationship between movement, input, and response

FINAL VISUAL SEQUENCE

CASE / PROCESS
From production problem to final image
Challenge
The result needed to communicate the relationship between camera input and visual response, not only an abstract image.
Process
- Adjusted contour intensity by comparing the raw camera frame and processed output side by side.
- Tested whether movement remained legible across different color-field variations.
Result
Completed a prototype connecting camera input, edge extraction, color fields, and real-time output.
