PROJECT OVERVIEW

A painterly flow reinterpreted through Houdini FLIP as two films: a blue star field and a red sunset.

One simulation language was extended into two films with distinct color and movement.

From production problem to final image

Challenge

The physically driven fluid needed to read as a painterly image rather than a simulation demo.

Process

  • Iterated on flow and particle density to distinguish the color and rhythm of the two works.
  • Refined the renders in After Effects to align contrast and color for exhibition.
03

Result

The two final films were produced and exhibited, receiving a second prize.
